31-Dec-21 Signage at Quorn and Woodhouse Station.
Local heritage railway "The Great Central" has different themes for all of the stations on the line. The station at Quorn and Woodhouse is fitted out as it would have been during the 1930's /40's. There is also a 1940's style NAAFI (Navy, Army, Air Force Institute, similar to the US PX but not as good) but they serve at todays prices.....

on December 31, 2021We Americans have no idea of what it must have been like to go through the "Blitz" I've read a lot of WW2 history and nothing can match the grit of the British and their resolve to defeat Nazi Germany. Your sign reminded me of that grit. Well done, Kevin.
