Dailies 2022

Normally I don't over-process nature shots I just adjust brightness and contrast. However, on this shot I was messing around with some of the lightroom settings and decided that I quite liked the desaturated look better than the full colour. A full colour version is in my "Around the Garden 2022" folder. It looks as though it has faded and is towards the end of it's bloom in actual fact it had only been out a couple of days, I think that the dark areas are rose black spot. It isn't delibrate colour popping (in the traditional multi-layer way) either, just a straight desaturation and adjustment of vibrancy.
Thank you to everyone who has taken time to view and comment on my work recently. Your critique and feedback is always welcomed.

on May 27, 2022Your shot is almost like a metaphor for today's world. No matter how badly we are bombarded with horrific news items, somewhere there is still something to derive joy from - if you care enough to look for it. Fine effort !
