24-Jun-22 RSPB Bempron Cliffs.
This is the view point from the mid-point viewing platform looking south toward Flamborough Head. The shots of the flying gannets are taken approx 1/2 mile south of here on another purpose made platform. The visitors centre is off to the right by about 500 yards and there are three more platforms to the north. The furthest being about 3/4 mile from this point. The are two other view points between here and where I took the flying gannets. All the way along the cliffs there are gannets, razorbill, puffin, guillemot and kittiwake nesting. It is one of the largest gannet nest sites on the mainland anywhere in europe, most of the others are on islands.

on June 25, 2022Lovely composition to show the contrast between the mellow, soft toned sea and sky and the heavily textured cliffs and vegetation.

on June 24, 2022What a fabulous place, and an amazing image of the cliffs, the birds, the people and that wonderful sky. Great description that you provided to help us understand all of what we are seeing. I'm a little nervous around heights, so I was hoppy to see there is a fence along the edge.
