2-Aug-22 Part of a large mural by YARD WARRIORS
This is part of a much larger mural which due to parked cars I couldn't capture in it's entirety and I thought some of the detail would be lost by looking at the full scene. So I'll post more elements of the mural over the next couple of days. As you can see from this shot the mural depicts railway scenes which is quite apt for it's location which is close to the original Great Central Railway yard in Leicester and next to a now disused rail bridge.

3 weeks agoOh my Kevin, I love this. What a fine bit of the mural here. The name of Yard Warriors is brilliant. Being surrounded by a family of train nuts, I can't wait to share this with them, and I'm looking forward to the other parts of the mural too.
Thank you very much for the historical information on my Irish mailbox post today. I had no idea that it would have dated to the time of Queen Victoria. I noticed the insignia, but I didn't know it's significance. With your comment, I now think this mail box is even more special. Thank you!
