13-Mar-23 Metropolitan Cammell Class 101 multiple unit at Rothley,
Although this was taken a couple of weeks ago, this would have been a typical scene across British Railways between the late 1950's and the early 1980's. On the Great Central before closure these types of unit were used to run local services between Nottingham and Rugby through Rothley.Certainly many branch lines were provided with services by this type of train as well as some local intercity services (ie. Leicester to Birmingham).
Thank you to everyone who takes time to view and comment on my work. Feedback is always appreciated.
