10-May-23 Holly Blue (Celastrina argiolus)
The first of a new season of butterflies (hopefully!). So far butterflies / moths which have landed have been rare in my garden this year.

4 weeks agoPretty little first butterfly of the season! It always makes me happy to see butterflies fliting around, as it suggests the health of the environment. Fingers crossed that you have a lot of butterflies come to your garden!

4 weeks agoSuper shot of the holly blue butterfly on the spring buds of the holly! Wish holly would grow here....it is so beautiful and there are so many wonderful varieties.
